Scholarships

Canadian Young Judaea is proud to offer all our participants exceptional Jewish and Zionist programming regardless of financial standing or circumstances. As well, we are proud to say that 100% of proceeds raised through the Scholarship Funds are given directly to campers and participants in need. Please see below the application form for those who are in need of financial assistance for any of our affiliate camps. Additionally, see the different Scholarship Funds that you are able to donate to!

To apply for a CYJ Scholarship to  Camp Shalom, Camp Kinneret, Camp Hatikvah, Camp Kadimah, Camp Solelim, Camp Biluim Canada and Camp Biluim Israel please download the form below.

Once you have filled out a scholarship application form, please email a signed copy to your individual summer camp for which you need a scholarship.

CYJ Camper Scholarship Fund

The CYJ Camper Scholarship Fund supports campers attending any of the affiliated CYJ summer camps,  and year round programs (ie; Mifgash, Machane Choref). Your donation enables campers to celebrate being Jewish in a safe and fun environment and create life-long friendships. In addition, you help us in our mission to give youth an unbroken line of Jewish experiences, from campfire to year-round community. Thank you for your support of Keeping Kids Jewish.

Biluim Israel Scholarship Fund

Biluim Israel Scholarship Fund ensures that no Judaean should be denied the ability attend Biluim Israel due to financial hardships.  As there are no local funds available in for summer programs to Israel in many cities, CYJ raises money to help Judaeans attend so that they may graduate with their chevra

Machane Lev Scholarship Fund

Machane Lev Scholarship is to enable CYJ to our inaugural new program which  is unique to the LGBTQ+ Jewish Community.  Donations this summercan either be directed for Camper Scholarships or Staff Honorariums.

Rob Rochkin Scholarship Fund

Rob Rochkin started his CYJ journey at Camp Shalom and spent many wonderful summers at camp. A donation made to the Rob Rochkin Scholarship Fund gives campers on Biluim Israel an opportunity to experience their final phase of CYJ as they graduate being campers. They travel overseas with life-long friends and take all of the knowledge and love of Judaism they learned in previous summers and bring it to Eretz Yisrael. Thank you for supporting this incredibly valuable cause that held a special place in Rob Rochkin’s heart.

Barbi Dick Scholarship Fund

The Barbie Dick Memorial Fund was established in memory of Barbie Dick who died suddenly in 2018.  Barbie was dedicated to her three children all of whom are alumni of CYJ. She committed to sending them to camp each and every summer as it was there 'happy place'.  To honour Barbie and her love for her children CYJ Alumni have set up this fund so that each year a needy camper would received a scholarship in her name.
